Angel Martinez, Indianapolis, won $10,000 on a Mega Millions® Quick Pick. Even though he primarily plays Scratch-offs, he drove by a Hoosier Lottery billboard that showcased the draw game jackpots and decided to purchase some quick picks from a nearby store.
Angel looked online to find the winning Mega Millions numbers. When he discovered he had matched four-of-five numbers and the Mega Ball, Angel immediately started screaming and startled his friend so badly that she came running into the room and thought that something was wrong. He called his brother to join in on the celebration. His brother couldn’t believe what he was hearing until Angel showed him the winning numbers.
When asked if he has any plans for the money, Angel said he was excited to use it to help pay off his car.
