Family celebrates a new puppy and $50,000 top prize in the same day
Andrew Gladson of Indianapolis keeps busy by working two jobs: a school bus driver in the morning and transportation dispatcher in the afternoon. On his way to work he likes to buy an iced tea and a few Scratch-offs for fun. Andrew scratches the tickets in the store right away to find out if he’s a winner—part of the entertainment in purchasing Scratch-offs. In the middle of Vera Food & Grocery, Andrew realized he won a $50,000 top prize on the $30 Extreme Cash Scratch-off.
Andrew immediately called his daughter to tell her the news. He asked her to keep it a secret until he could get home to tell his wife in person. That day the family was also picking up a new puppy, so it was an all-around exciting day for the family.
The family plans to celebrate at a nice steakhouse. Andrew also plans to pay off medical bills and buy a new car with the winnings.
