The Mega Millions® jackpot has reached $1.1 billion for today’s drawing. The jackpot currently ranks as the fourth-highest jackpot in the game’s history and sixth-highest in U.S. Lottery history.
Players can purchase a $2 Mega Millions ticket at any participating retailer. Players also can add the Megaplier for $1 for a chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes, up to five times.
In addition to the large Mega Millions® jackpot for tonight’s drawing, the Hoosier Lotto® jackpot for the Wednesday, Aug. 2 drawing is $25.6 million, which currently ranks as the second-largest state lottery jackpot.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot won was $1.537 billion by an anonymous player in South Carolina on Oct. 23, 2018. The Mega Millions jackpot has been won six times in 2023, with the most recent win occurring on April 18, when a single ticket sold in New York won the $20 million jackpot.
