Hoosier Lottery to launch new Fast Play games on May 19

Dwight Lindley of Danville won the $724,478 rolling jackpot for the Hoosier Lottery's $10 Extreme Green Fast Play game.

Lindley purchased the $724,478 winning ticket at Smoker's Choice, Inc., located at 729 N. Green St., Ste. B in Brownsburg. He typically purchases a few Fast Play and Quick Draw tickets whenever he stops by the store.

Lindley is an avid lottery player who has been playing since the Hoosier Lottery began in 1989 and has dreamed many times of winning a big jackpot. "It's a form of entertainment," he said.

Lindley usually scans his tickets himself. This time, though, he gave his ticket to one of the clerks at Smoker's Choice and asked her to scan it. When she saw that the ticket was a winner and saw the amount of the jackpot, her eyes widened.

"You're kidding me!" she said.

The clerk scanned the ticket several more times. Every time, the same message confirming the win popped up on the terminal screen. It was real. Lindley hit the big one.

Lindley said this win is particularly emotional because he is currently battling some health issues. He will use the prize money to make sure his family is financially secure for years to come but also plans to use some of his winnings to enjoy life and enjoy retirement. "Happiness is the most important thing in life," he said. "And if this win allows the people I love to be even happier, I'm all for it."

Lindley only began playing Fast Play games a few months ago and quickly became a fan because they offer instant fun and a variety of play styles, including rolling jackpots, match style games, crosswords and more. Fast Play rolling jackpot games continue to grow with every ticket purchased. The Extreme Green jackpot started at $30,000 and grew to $724,478.

On May 19, the Hoosier Lottery will launch new Fast Play games, including $5 Cash King and the rolling jackpot game $10 Wild 10s that will replace the $10 Extreme Green.
