Thomas Barry is a contractor who travels all over the world building laboratories. When traveling to job sites in the U.S., he typically drives, and those drives can be rather long and boring. To add a little fun to his trips, Thomas likes to play Scratch-offs from the various states he visits. 

While driving from his home in Wisconsin to a building site in Ohio, he pulled into a truck stop along the Indiana Toll Road in Portage. After fueling up, he purchased a $50 Power 50X Scratch-off and scratched it when he got back in his car. 

As he scratched, he uncovered a winning symbol and then three more. “Wow, I won $10,000!” Thomas thought. 

Then he examined the ticket again and was shocked to see he had actually won the $100,000 top prize! The long road trip no longer seemed so boring.

Thomas plans to use some of his winnings to pay a couple bills and will save the rest.
