A Wanatah woman recently claimed a $100,000 top prize after playing the Hoosier Lottery’s $5 Indiana POP Scratch-off.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and playing Hoosier Lottery games. 

While on her way home, she stopped at a Casey’s in Wanatah to grab a soda. Using the $15 she had won on a previous Scratch-off, she decided to purchase a few more tickets, including the $5 Indiana POP Scratch-off. 

Later that evening, while sitting on her couch at home, she scratched her $5 Indiana POP ticket and initially thought she had won $5 or $10. After taking a closer look, she realized the prize amount was much larger—she had won the $100,000 top prize! She quickly used the Hoosier Lottery Mobile App to scan her ticket to make sure the win was real. 

Shortly after discovering the win, her fiancé arrived home, and she immediately showed him the ticket, and he congratulated her on the win. 

The winner said she “can’t believe it” and shared that she “couldn’t sleep last night” due to her excitement before claiming her prize. 

She has already shared the exciting news with her close family and plans to use the prize money to pay bills and help her family.
