Sherry Edwards lives in the tiny town of Florence (population: 60), which sits in the southeast corner of the state, along the Ohio River and Indiana’s border with Kentucky. As a UPS driver, Sherry spends her days on the road and her free time relaxing with her dog. 

During a recent visit to see her daughter, Sherry made a stop on her way home. After filling up her gas tank at a Circle K on State Road 156, Sherry realized she had some extra money and decided to purchase a $10 Stacks of Cash Scratch-off. She typically enjoys playing crossword-style games like the $5 Neon 9’s Crossword and the $10 Wild Cherry Crossword 10X because they are fun to play and keep her busy, but since they were sold out, she decided to try something different. 

While pumping her gas, Sherry scratched her ticket and was surprised by what she saw. She had won the $10,000 top prize!

“I started crying and almost fainted,” she said. 

To be sure, she scanned the ticket using the Hoosier Lottery’s mobile app, which confirmed she had won. 

Sherry first shared the news with her partner, who didn’t believe it at first. She’s also looking forward to telling her dad about the win. 

Sherry plans to put her winnings toward car expenses and the purchase of a few more tickets.
