Adam Hose was not having the best day. The over-the-road truck driver had his load cancelled when he arrived in Seymour. Adam then stopped at the Seymour Travel Center to rest. There, he picked up a soda and noticed that the CA$H 5 jackpot was over $200,000, so he bought a ticket.

After resting, Adam drove his empty trailer to Chicago. Once there, he was relaxing in his hotel room when he decided to check the CA$H 5 numbers on the Hoosier Lottery website. “I pulled up the numbers and saw that I matched one, then two,” he said. “Then I realized I won the whole thing!” He called his mom and sent her a picture of the numbers to make sure he was seeing it correctly. After conferring with his mom, Adam called the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment Center to confirm his win.

Adam plans to pay for his son’s college expenses with the prize money. He also plans to pay off a few bills and put the rest of his prize money toward a down payment on a house.
