Very few people can say they still have their first car, but James Morgan of Ridge Farm, Illinois, can. His 1969 Chevrolet Camaro looks and runs better than it ever has, and he proudly shows it off at car shows all over the Midwest.

Now retired, James has free time to tinker with his car and occasionally play the Hoosier Lottery. After hearing about the swelling Powerball® jackpot on TV, James decided to buy a ticket.

After the drawing, he scanned his ticket on the Hoosier Lottery app. When he received a message to call the Hoosier Lottery office to claim his prize, he then had his local Hoosier Lottery retailer scan the ticket with the same result.

Once James realized that he’d matched four numbers and the Powerball, he was very excited. His cousin had won $1 million playing Powerball a few years ago, and he thought that’s what he’d won as well.

Once James called the Hoosier Lottery prize payment center, he was informed that though not $1 million, he’d won $50,000, which is still a very nice prize.

Thrilled with the win, James posted the news on Facebook for family and friends to see.

As a former member of the military, James has friends all over the world. He plans to use the prize money to travel and meet up with old friends. In fact, he’s going to see the Eagles play in the Sphere in Las Vegas next.
