Inspired by the total solar eclipse on April 8, Douglas Crockett bought a Powerball® ticket to commemorate the occasion. 

The next day, Douglas was at home with his wife and grandson when his sister-in-law called to tell him that someone had won $100,000 on a Powerball® ticket purchased at the gas station near his home in Wanamaker. Douglas immediately checked his numbers on his laptop. A few moments later, he called his sister-in-law back to tell her that he was in fact the $100,000 winner!

Douglas plans to take a vacation with the prize money and save the rest.
