With his free time in retirement, Floyd Hawkins, Jr., has started playing the Hoosier Lottery to add some fun to his week. Though not a frequent player, Floyd likes to play Draw games and looks forward to the anticipation of the drawing.

When Floyd looked up the winning numbers for the CA$H 5 drawing on his computer, he was disappointed to see that someone had hit the jackpot. “I remember thinking, ‘Who won this time?’”

But as Floyd began checking his numbers, his disappointment turned to excitement – HE had won the $720,500 jackpot!

Floyd immediately called his daughter and said, “You need to come over right now!”

He then called his wife who was at the grocery store and told her to get home as soon as possible. He showed his daughter and wife his ticket and the numbers on the computer screen, and together they celebrated.

Floyd plans to use his winnings to help his children with their student loans and will save the rest for his grandchildren.
