Edward Schoonover is a retired union electrician after an impressive 35-year career. Edward doesn’t play the Hoosier Lottery often, but he will play Draw games when the jackpot gets really high. When the Powerball® jackpot swelled to more than $200 million, Edward decided to purchase a few tickets.

Edward was at home on a Sunday morning drinking coffee when he checked his Powerball tickets and realized that he had won $50,000. Edward’s grandson lives with him and was the first person he told about the win.

Edward also told his friends at his weekly Tuesday breakfast meetup. They were excited for Edward’s win and congratulated him.
