After a long career as a carpenter, Brian Sides of Spencer is now enjoying retirement. He likes to spend his time with family, golfing and playing Hoosier Lottery games. 

Brian enjoys both Draw games and Scratch-offs, but Powerball® is his favorite. Playing each week has become part of his routine. He purchased his winning ticket at the Circle K on E. Morgan St. in Spencer, a place he has visited many times before. 

Brian was at home watching TV when he checked his ticket using the Hoosier Lottery mobile app. When the app prompted him to visit the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment Office, he knew he had won something big. 

Brian described feeling a mix of emotions including excitement, nervousness and gratitude. 

The first person he shared the news with was his wife. She wasn’t home at the time, so he called her and she immediately started crying with excitement. He has since shared the news with his friends and family. 

Brian plans to use his winnings to do some home renovations during his retirement, such as adding a new bedroom onto his house.
