Whenever Austin resident Jacob Zehnder stops for gas, he buys his usual Hoosier Lottery Draw game tickets: Powerball® and Mega Millions®. At the end of each week, he sits down to go through his tickets to see if he won, and to his surprise, he recently won $16. 

Little did the part-time bus driver and small business owner know that win would pale in comparison to what was to come. 

When it was announced that the Circle K in Austin had sold a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket, the community was abuzz. Jacob was doing his weekly ticket check when he realized he won the $50,000 prize. He immediately called his mom. 

“Tell me that’s your ticket” was the first thing she said to him.

Jacob plans to grow his small business and add another vehicle to his fleet. This was something he has been saving for with a goal of purchasing it in the spring, but with the prize money, he can do so now.
