A Shelbyville man had just dropped his wife off at work when he stopped to get gas and a couple of Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs. He scratched them once he was back in his car, and as he scratched a $50 Luxe Millions ticket, he uncovered a matching number and saw a $20,000 prize amount.

Filled with excitement, he headed straight back to his wife’s office. When he showed her the partially scratched ticket, she told him, “Keep scratching!”

The man finished scratching the ticket, and the couple was shocked to see he won $100,000!

“It still hasn’t sunk in,” he said upon claiming his prize. 

The couple are set to move out of state next month and will put some of their winnings toward moving expenses. First, though, the winner says he thinks he’ll splurge and get a new tattoo.
