Holly Smith, a resident of Scottsburg and a pharmacy technician, likes to add a little fun to her day by playing Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs every now and then. While she was shopping at Walmart, Holly picked up a $2 2X the Money and started scratching it as she and her husband walked to their car. Suddenly, she turned to him, eyes wide, and said, “Am I reading this right? I just won $1,000!”

With a grin, her husband took a closer look at the ticket. “Oh wow, you won even more than that!”

They both jumped for joy when they realized that Holly had actually won the top prize of $10,000! “I was so excited that night, I think I only got about four hours of sleep,” Holly laughed.

Now, Holly and her husband are having fun discussing how to spend their prize money, but for the time being, they’ve decided to tuck it away in savings.
