What started as a weekend routine for James Creech of Bloomington quickly turned into a $20,000 surprise. 

James was making his usual Saturday stop when he decided to grab a $50 Luxe Millions Scratch-off. Later that day, he scratched the ticket at home and was shocked by what he saw. 

“I had to look at it for a little bit to realize I had won,” James said.

Still in disbelief, he scanned the ticket using the Hoosier Lottery app to be sure he won. 

“You always hear about people winning but don’t know if it will ever happen to you,” he said. 

Outside of playing the Hoosier Lottery and watching Indiana University football, James enjoys competing in bowling tournaments and working on computers. 

He is excited to share the news with family and friends on Facebook and is already looking ahead to how he will use his winnings. 

James plans to purchase IU football tickets for the upcoming season and put the rest toward new computer parts.
