Retired teacher and Martinsville resident Juliana Crossman likes to play Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs and typically purchases them at the same store. When Juliana and her husband Mike stopped at the retailer one day to get gas, Juliana bought a $20 Power 20s.

While sitting in their car at the gas pump, Juliana scratched her ticket and was surprised to see she won.

“Um, Mike? We just won $20,000,” she said to her husband.

“What?! You’re joking,” he replied.

They both studied her ticket and were thrilled to realize it was indeed a winner. Wanting to be sure, though, Juliana took the ticket back into the store and asked the clerk to scan it for her. Sure, enough, it was a winner!

Juliana and Mike have been house hunting and will use her winnings to help with the purchase and move.
