A Fort Wayne woman won $50,000 playing Daily 4. She and her husband like to play Daily 4 together, and her husband typically plays the same numbers each week. When he came home one day and showed her the Daily 4 tickets he had purchased, the woman noticed he hadn’t played his usual numbers.

“If you’re not going to play them,” she told her husband, “I will.”

Soon after the drawing, her husband checked the winning numbers and was thrilled to see his wife had matched all four! “Check your numbers and then scan your ticket,” he told his wife.

After checking her numbers, the woman was stunned. “Oh my gosh, we played those numbers 10 times!” she exclaimed to her husband. “We won $50,000!”

Excited about their win, the couple jumped in the car the next morning and drove down to the Hoosier Lottery’s Prize Payment office in Indianapolis. When they arrived, they found that the office was closed for Good Friday. 

“That was okay,” the woman said. “I was happy all weekend knowing we were coming right back on Monday.”

The couple plans to use the prize money to pay off a couple of bills and take a vacation.
