For Latasha Jones of Fort Wayne, being a stay-at-home mom means her days are always full. In between taking care of her kids and managing a busy household, she enjoys finding small moments to unwind, often by playing the Hoosier Lottery. 

Latasha recently won a $10,000 Top Prize on the Hoosier Lottery’s $10 Stacks of Cash Scratch-off, which she purchased at her local neighborhood retailer. 

After picking up a few tickets, she headed home to scratch them, making sure to find a quiet place away from the kids. 

“I always go into the bathroom to scratch my tickets so I can have a minute to myself,” Latasha said. 

That short break quickly turned into a big surprise. 

“When I saw all these zeros, I ran out of the restroom so fast screaming,” she said. 

Latasha, who regularly uses the Hoosier Lottery app to scan her tickets, said she was in complete disbelief. 

“I felt disoriented,” she said. “I didn’t believe it at first. I kept checking it over and over again.”

Still unsure the win was real, she held onto the ticket overnight, keeping it tucked safely under her mattress. The next day, she visited the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment Office to officially claim her prize. 

Looking ahead, Latasha plans to save most of her winnings and use a portion to help her daughter buy a car.
