Winner Stories
Walter Harden of Madison owns an auto glass company and several rental properties. To add a little fun to his otherwise very busy days, he likes to play Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs and Draw games.
While working on one of his rental properties, Walter ran to the nearby Circle K to pick up a few supplies and buy some Scratch-offs. He purchased three Scratch-offs, each from a different game, and scratched them in his vehicle.
The first one he scratched was a $30 200X The Cash that appeared to be a non-winner, so Walter stuck it in his vehicle’s visor with plans to re-check it after scratching his other two tickets. To his delight, the other two tickets turned out to be winners—one for $200 and the other for $500. So excited about his winnings, Walter forgot all about the third ticket.
When he got home later that day, he eagerly shared the news of his winning tickets with his wife. It was then that he remembered the ticket still stuck in his vehicle's visor. Although he was fairly certain it was a non-winner, he decided to grab it and check just in case.
When he finished scratching it, Walter couldn’t believe his eyes—he had just won the top prize of $30,000!
Walter plans to put some of his winnings toward finishing the work on his auto glass company’s new location and will put the rest in the bank.
