What started as a quick stop at a Shell gas station turned into an unforgettable day for Ross Stewart of Medora. Ross was picking up a few items and decided to purchase a couple of Scratch-offs. After playing those tickets, he decided to buy one more. This time, he bought one of his favorite games - the $30 $2,000,000 Ultimate Scratch-off.

“I love that ticket,” Ross said.

As he scratched it, Ross revealed he had won $50,000. “Oh my God, I was so excited. I dang near had a heart attack,” he said. 

Still stunned by the win, Ross immediately called his son and daughter to meet them and share the news. His son was skeptical at first and told him there was no way it was real. To which Ross replied, “I ain't lying!”

His daughter then scanned the ticket and shouted, “It is real, Dad!”

Earlier this year, his home had burned down, so Ross says the $50,000 win will be put toward his home.
