Katherine Wilson has been putting in long 60-hours weeks at her job for the past couple of months. Thanks to the persuasion of her husband, Katherine decided to move her Saturday shift to Sunday so her and her husband could have a Saturday night out. The couple went to dinner and visited the nearby casino. On their way home, they decided to pick up lottery tickets to keep the fun going.

Katherine and her husband divided the Scratch-offs between the two of them and started scratching. It didn’t take long for Katherine to discover she had won $100,000 on a $5 ELVIS™ Scratch-off! “It was kind of dark where I was, so I got up to turn on the lights in the kitchen to make sure I was seeing it right,” Katherine said.

Katherine and her husband were ecstatic about their win and began cheering and jumping around their house. Family members were also home at the time, including a very confused and frightened 3-year-old granddaughter who wasn’t sure what was happening.

The couple plans to pay off their vehicles and are considering looking for a new house.
