Jeff, Derik, Jason and Josh work together at UPS and have been purchasing Mega Millions® tickets together for the last four years.

Jeff is in charge of buying the tickets and typically buys them when he stops to pick up lunch. The group doesn’t check their numbers after every draw, so one day Jeff realized he had a couple weeks’ worth of tickets he hadn’t checked. Using the Hoosier Lottery app, he scanned the stack of tickets and was surprised when a message popped up on the screen saying he would need to go to the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment office in Indianapolis to claim his prize. “I didn’t know how much we won and had to do some research,” said Jeff.

When he found out he and his coworkers won $20,000, Jeff was thrilled. He immediately texted Derik, Jason and Josh, and all three of them thought he was joking. When they realized Jeff was serious, the group was excited.

Each member of the group plans to put his winnings in savings.
