Carla Mason and her husband live in Marshall, Ill., which is just west of Terre Haute. Carla works in manufacturing, and her husband is retired, though he has been put to work helping care for grandchildren and aging parents. 

Carla’s husband was in Terre Haute visiting friends when he bought a few Scratch-offs. He often buys Scratch-offs and gives some to Carla as a fun surprise. Carla was in disbelief when her husband came home with a $50 Luxe Millions $100,000 win. 

Not wanting to cause too much of a commotion, Carla and her husband told their family and friends they were coming to Indianapolis to look for a new truck; in actuality, they were claiming their prize money at the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment Office.

Carla’s car needs repair after incurring some body damage, so that is first on the list for the prize money. Carla and her husband plan to use the remainder of the prize money to make repairs to their house and property that was damaged when a tornado ripped through their area last year.
