Danny Smith of Connersville recently claimed a $250,000 Top Prize after playing the Hoosier Lottery’s $10 Plus the Money Scratch-off.  

Danny works as a flooring installer and enjoys fishing and playing Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs in his free time. He especially enjoys trying different Scratch-off games and typically chooses a different game each time he purchases a ticket.  

While traveling for work, he stopped at a Casey’s located at 704 E. Main St. in Centerville. He said it’s a retailer he visits often and where he regularly purchases his Hoosier Lottery tickets. This time, he decided to try the $10 Plus the Money Scratch-off, a game he had never played before.  

After returning home, Danny scratched his ticket and scanned it using the Hoosier Lottery app. When he saw that he had won the game’s $250,000 Top Prize, he was shocked. It was the first time Danny had won a prize on a Scratch-off ticket.  

Danny said he was so excited by the win that he immediately shared the news with everyone he knew. At first, they didn’t believe him and thought he was playing a joke on them, but they were excited and happy for him once they realized the win was real.  

He plans to use some of the prize money to purchase a new truck and will put the rest in savings.
