Harvey Hudson has owned a carpet cleaning business for 23 years. At this point in his career, Harvey is eyeing retirement and looking forward to golfing, fishing, and traveling.

Occasionally, Harvey buys a Hoosier Lottery Draw game ticket when a jackpot catches his eye. While he was waiting in line at the Customer Service Desk in the Kroger, he decided to purchase a Powerball® ticket.

Harvey looked over his tickets at home, and when he came across a Powerball ticket, he noticed that several of the numbers matched.

“I thought to myself, ‘that’s a lot of (matching) numbers, let me look this up,’” he said.

After scanning his ticket with the Hoosier Lottery app, Harvey was able to confirm that he had won $50,000. He told no one of his win until he was able to visit the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment office and officially claim his prize.

Harvey plans to use the prize money to renovate his newly purchased house.
