Bruce N. wins $277,000 top prize on his $10 Mega 7s Scratch-off  

Bruce N. is a retired firefighter of 31 years from Michigan City, IN. He won a $277,000 top prize on his $10 Mega 7s Scratch-off ticket. Though he has certainly had some winning tickets over the years, this is his largest win. He previously visited Hoosier Lottery headquarters in October 2019 with his friend who had won a large CA$H 5 prize.

Bruce likes to dabble in both Draw and Scratch-off games, but he prefers Powerball®, Mega Millions®, and Quick Draw. Bruce purchased his tickets from a retailer he visits regularly for coffee. He decided to buy a couple of tickets, and he put them in the visor in his car and went to work. He now works part time for Ford delivering parts for auction purposes. About 6 or 7 hours later, he went home and scratched his tickets and could tell instantly he had won. To double check his winning ticket, the next day he went to a retailer with a self-service scanner, and it directed him to Hoosier Lottery headquarters to claim his prize.

The only other person he has told so far is his wife, who came in with him. When he called her and told her, he said “it didn’t feel real”. They plan on taking a nice vacation, saving, and helping their kids and grandchildren. Congratulations Bruce!
