The winning of a CA$H 5 jackpot was a “dream come true” for an Indianapolis woman dealing with medical issues.
Audrey Gita was released from the hospital after surgery and bought a CA$H 5 ticket in a Hoosier Lottery vending machine at CVS Pharmacy at the urging of her husband, Joseph. She won $131,098 before taxes.
Joseph took the ticket to a retailer to scan it to see if they won, and called Audrey, telling her, “We win! We win!”
The win will allow Audrey to take time off work to deal with health issues.
The couple plans to buy a house and take a vacation.
