Justin Morgan of Burnettsville wasn’t expecting anything more than a routine shopping trip when he stopped at Walmart in Monticello to buy his daughter a birthday present. While he was shopping, he thought he would treat himself to a little gift as well. Before leaving the store, Justin bought a $50 Luxe Millions Scratch-off, one of his personal favorites. He then headed back to his truck and began scratching.

After revealing his winning numbers, Justin started working his way down the ticket to see if he had any matches. One of the winning numbers was 38, and it didn’t take long for him to find a match. Then he found another 38. And another.

“I kept finding more matches, and I was getting excited,” Justin said.

As he continued scratching, his excitement continued as well. Once Justin had uncovered all of his winning-number matches, he moved on to the bonus section — and discovered that he had won there, too. Justin said he quickly added up the prizes and realized the ticket was worth $10,000.

He immediately texted a few friends to share the good news before heading home to tell his family about his largest win yet. They were thrilled to hear about his win. 

Justin’s home and car were damaged by the storms that swept through Indiana in August, so he plans to use some of the prize money to help pay for repairs and will put the rest into savings.
