Working at Five Below and parenting her children keeps Monica Nunley pretty busy. To add a little fun to her hectic days, the Indianapolis resident plays Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs.

Monica and her daughter were on their way to the BMV because her daughter was scheduled to take her driving test. Monica stopped at a Speedway to get gas and purchased a $5 In the Money Scratch-off while there. 

As her gas was pumping, Monica sat in her car and scratched the ticket. “My heart started beating so fast,” she recalled about the moment she realized she won the $100,000 top prize. “I almost fainted.”

Overcome with excitement, she showed her daughter the ticket and then ran back into the store, exclaiming, “I hit it! I hit it!”

“Don’t pay attention to this crazy lady,” her embarrassed daughter told the clerk as she pulled Monica out of the store. 

After several minutes, Monica was able to calm down enough to take her daughter to her driving test. 

Monica plans to use some of her winnings to take a family vacation to Florida.
