For the second year in a row, the Hoosier Lottery sent one player and their family on a VIP trip to Pittsburgh to see a Pittsburgh Pirates game.

Steven Thomas of Crown Point was the grand prize winner of the Hoosier Lottery Grand Slam Giveaway out of more than 15,000 entries. As a member of the Hoosier Lottery’s free loyalty program, myLOTTERY, Thomas entered the Grand Slam Giveaway promotion simply by logging in and confirming his account. 

As the grand prize winner, Thomas received four premium tickets to a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park, two nights of hotel accommodations, a pregame PNC Park experience with field access to batting practice and the opportunity to get autographs from players, a guided tour of PNC Park, an autographed Paul Skenes jersey, a $500 Hoosier Lottery prize pack and more. The trip celebrated the lottery’s partnership with the Pirates AAA affiliate Indianapolis Indians.

"We had a wonderful tour of the facility and then watched some batting practice on the field,” Thomas said. “It’s been a great experience.” After a weekend filled with family and baseball, Thomas said the experience left such an impression that the family is already talking about returning to PNC Park.

Ten secondary winners won a $100 Fanatics gift card, a Hoosier Lottery prize pack and baseball caps from all the minor league teams in Indiana, including the Indianapolis Indians, South Bend Cubs, Fort Wayne TinCaps, Gary SouthShore RailCats, Lafayette Aviators and Evansville Otters.
