The country’s second largest state lottery jackpot was won last night on a single ticket sold in Washington, Ind.

Hoosier Lotto^® tickets should be checked carefully as one entry matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing to win the $35.5 million jackpot.

"This is an incredibly exciting moment for the Hoosier Lottery and for our players,” said Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah M. Taylor. “There is nothing quite like seeing a large Hoosier Lotto jackpot being won, and I look forward to celebrating this $35.5 million win!"

The $35.5 million winning ticket was purchased at Casey’s #3695 located at 1466 S. State Road 57 in Washington.

The winning Hoosier Lotto numbers for Wednesday, Sept. 2, are: 15-16-22-24-43-44. Players can check their tickets with the free Hoosier Lottery Mobile App by downloading here.

The jackpot must be claimed by March 1, 2027. The ticket holder should ensure their ticket is in a secure place, consider meeting with a financial advisor and contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886 for specific claim instructions. 

Before the jackpot was won, it was the second largest state lottery jackpot in the country and the fourth largest jackpot overall. The most recent Hoosier Lotto jackpot win occurred on Aug. 16, 2025, and was worth an estimated $9.9 million. That winning ticket was purchased at Jack’s Place in Columbus.

The Hoosier Lotto jackpot for Saturday, Sept. 5, is an estimated $1 million. Players have until 10:39 p.m., ET, to get their tickets for the 11 p.m., ET, drawing. 

Players can purchase a $2 Hoosier Lotto ticket at any participating retailer. Players also can add +PLUS for $1 for a chance to win $1 million or other prizes in a second drawing that occurs immediately after the Hoosier Lotto drawing.
