A Clark County man almost decided to purchase a Powerball® ticket instead of what turned out to be a jackpot-winning CA$H 5 ticket.

He typically plays CA$H 5, but when he stopped at a Casey’s to buy his weekly tickets, he noticed that the Powerball jackpot was over $1 billion.

“I almost purchased a Powerball ticket, but then I thought, ‘Nah, I’ll just stick to my normal CA$H 5,’” he recalled.

The next morning he checked his numbers and was stunned to see he matched all five numbers to win the jackpot. “I just started yelling,” he said.

Wondering what all the noise and commotion was, his girlfriend and daughter rushed into the room. When he told them he just won a jackpot, they couldn’t believe it. They then looked up the prize amount and were excited to see he won $212,430!

He plans to use some of his winnings to purchase a new vehicle and will put the rest in savings.
