When Trina Ransom won $50,000 playing Powerball®, her first thought was, “The lottery is real!”

Trina and her husband are empty nesters and like to add some excitement into their weekly routine by playing Hoosier Lottery Draw games. Trina has a special set of numbers she has been playing for nearly 10 years.

While her husband was on his way to the store to buy tickets, he scanned their previous Powerball tickets on the Hoosier Lottery app. When he saw a message that the prize amount was too large to cash at a retailer, he couldn’t believe it. In fact, he thought somehow AI had altered the response he received. After looking up the winning numbers, the couple realized they had won $50,000 by matching 4 out of 5 numbers.
