A Crown Point man recently claimed a $100,000 Top Prize after playing the Hoosier Lottery’s $50 Power 50X Scratch-off. 

The winner, a truck driver, enjoys watching soccer and playing the Hoosier Lottery in his free time. During a recent stop at Strack & Van Til in Crown Point, he picked up a $50 Power 50X Scratch-off. 

He was at home when he scratched the ticket and was shocked by what he saw. Wanting to be sure, he scanned it using the Hoosier Lottery app, which prompted him to visit the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment office.

While he has won smaller amounts in the past, he said he has never experienced a win like this. He immediately shared the news with his wife, who was also shocked. 

The winner plans to use his prize money to purchase a new car and save the rest.
