Taylor Burrow and her college roommate have remained best friends even years after graduating. In fact, the two still live together, having purchased a house to share in Indianapolis. The BFFs also regularly play Mega Millions® together.

The day after Christmas, Taylor was on a video call chatting with a friend while scanning a few Mega Millions tickets using the Hoosier Lottery’s app. Suddenly, a message appeared on the screen indicating that one of the tickets was a winner and that the prize needed to be claimed at the Hoosier Lottery’s office.

Although Taylor didn’t know the amount they had won, she was thrilled. She quickly ended the call with her friend to research the prize. After learning that they won $30,000, Taylor couldn’t contain her excitement. She first called her best friend, who of course thought she was joking at first. Taylor then called her family to share the good news, and they were all very excited for the two friends.

The women plan to use some of their winnings to make a couple repairs to their home’s roof and will save the rest.
