Michael Landrum of Greenwood had no idea his pastime would turn into his largest win ever. While on a break from his job as an operator at Eli Lilly, Michael pulled out his favorite Hoosier Lottery crossword Scratch-off, $20 Ca$hword.

“I just really enjoy the crossword games,” Michael said.

When he has time, Michael says he enjoys playing multiple crossword puzzles on one ticket with the added bonus of multiple chances to win.

As he scratched his ticket, he uncovered one word after another... and then another. Before he knew it, Michael had uncovered enough words to score a $10,000 win! He was ecstatic and called his wife right away to share the news. Not being able to contain the excitement, he also told his coworkers about his win.

Michael said the timing is perfect as he and his wife are preparing for an upcoming trip to Florida—now all the more exciting thanks to his unexpected win.
