Tommy Walker’s uncle lives in Iowa and needed to drive to Kentucky to pick up his son who was on leave from the Army. Tommy told his uncle that if he drove to Tommy’s house in Indianapolis, Tommy would ride with him the rest of the way to Kentucky.

When Tommy bought a ticket for the midday draw, his uncle suggested he also play the evening draw since his uncle usually plays both draws.
“I figured why not,” said Tommy.
The next morning, his uncle called him to tell him he had checked Tommy’s numbers and Tommy won $10,000 on the evening draw. Excited to share the news, Tommy called his sister to tell her about his win. She was very happy for him.
Tommy plans to put most of his winnings in savings, after he buys his uncle dinner.
