Bonnie Black-Wright began her second career as a special education teacher by going back to school and earning a master’s degree at age 65. She left her career at a telecommunications company and, at the suggestion of her neighbor, became a teacher. “Those kids keep me young,” said Bonnie.
In her free time, Bonnie enjoys playing the Hoosier Lottery. On her way to work one day, Bonnie bought a few Scratch-offs and scratched them in the gas station parking lot. As soon as she saw that she won the $30 200X the Cash $30,000 top prize, Bonnie jumped out of her car and cheered loudly. A woman passing by even joined Bonnie in her impromptu parking lot celebration!
The celebration continued at work as Bonnie told her coworkers and friends about her win.
Bonnie plans to pay bills and put the rest of her prize money toward her eventual retirement.
