Hoosier Lottery “Powerball® First Millionaire of the Year” 2nd Chance Promotion begins June 19; Three Hoosier Lottery players will win trip to New York City, with one finalist eligible to participate in a drawing for $1 million.
The Hoosier Lottery is getting the New Year's countdown started in June with the "Powerball® First Millionaire of the Year" promotion. Thirty Hoosier Lottery players who enter eligible non-winning Powerball tickets into the promotion will win $500 cash and have a chance to become one of three Hoosier Lottery finalists to win a New Year's Eve VIP trip to New York City. The first finalist selected will also be eligible to participate in a drawing for $1 million dollars and may have the opportunity to appear on the live broadcast of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve."
Eligible non-winning Powerball tickets purchased from June 19 through July 30 may be entered by Hoosier Lottery players through August 1 into the myLOTTERY 2nd Chance "Powerball First Millionaire of the Year" promotion. The Hoosier Lottery drawings to determine the 30 semi-finalists will occur on or about July 13 and August 3. The three finalists eligible will be selected during a drawing on or about September 7.
The national finalists of the MRC Live & Alternative and Powerball promotion who receive the opportunity to win $1 million and appear on the live broadcast of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" will be randomly selected by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) from the pool of finalists submitted by participating lotteries across the country.
To enter, a player must go to www.HoosierLottery.com/myLOTTERY or the Hoosier Lottery app and sign into or register for a free myLOTTERY account.
The VIP New York City trip for the three Hoosier Lottery finalists is valued at $20,000--including round-trip airline transportation for two, three nights' hotel stay at a Times Square hotel, two tickets to an exclusive entertainment experience, two tickets for an exclusive New Year's Eve dinner and entertainment, two gift bags with a retail value of at least $350, all meals while in New York City, spending money in the amount of $1,000, and ground transportation.
This is the fourth multi-state "Powerball First Millionaire of the Year" promotion presented by MRC Live & Alternative and Powerball. Two years ago, Hoosier Lottery player Steven Everage, 47, from Seymour was one of five national finalists. He was interviewed by country artist Jessie James Decker during ABC's live broadcast of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021." Everage shares advice for Hoosier Lottery players: "For other people that do not enter 2nd Chance drawings I say enter them, because you have a chance to win. I mean, I had never won a 2nd Chance drawing, so if I can do it somebody else sure can."
