Marsell bought the winning ticket at Meijer Express #285 located at 5520 E. New Margaret Dr. in Terre Haute.

Marsell and his wife had just become empty nesters after dropping their son off at college. On their way home, they stopped for gas in Terre Haute and Marsell bought a CA$H 5 ticket. He stashed the ticket in his truck and promptly forgot about it.

Marsell noticed the ticket in his truck a few days later when he was on his way to play golf. He scanned the ticket on the Hoosier Lottery app and realized he had won the $342,362 jackpot. Marsell was in disbelief.

He quickly turned around and headed straight back home to tell his wife.

"We had a holy crap moment for about 15 minutes," Marsell said. He then told both of his children, who are in college. "I told my daughter she doesn't need to worry about rent anymore, and she got a little teary-eyed," he said.

Marsell and his wife said they are happy and relieved to be able to help their children with their college expenses. They plan to invest the remaining prize money.
