Wednesday’s $1.25 billion jackpot ranks as 6th largest in game history

The Powerball® jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.25 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing, giving players nationwide another chance to dream big this holiday season. The $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at GetGo #7507 located at 10 Enterprise Dr. in Pendleton.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, Dec. 17 is an estimated $1.25 billion, making it the second-largest Powerball prize this year, behind the $1.787 billion jackpot won on Sept. 6 in Missouri and Texas. This marks only the second time in Powerball history that the game has generated back-to-back billion-dollar jackpots.
