To celebrate our new Elvis Scratch-off and trivia game, we’ve teamed up with Elvis tribute artist, Doug Church. But who is Doug Church and how did he become the world-famous impersonator he is today? These 5 fascinating facts shed some light:

1. He got his start in the Air Force.
   While Doug had been casually impersonating Elvis for many years, he started taking it seriously during his years in the Air Force. After a friend dared him to enter the annual talent contest, Doug created his very own fit-for-a-King costume and won the competition. After leaving the Air Force, he decided to invest in his talent by purchasing some cheap sound equipment and started booking shows.
2. He performs around the world.
   Doug performs anywhere from 100 to 200 Elvis gigs every year. These performances have taken him to Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, England, Wales, Germany, Spain, Chile, and across the United States and Canada.
3. He’s a legend in Vegas.
   Doug performed the Las Vegas’ Legends in Concert Show for seven straight years. For those keeping score at home, that’s 2 gigs a night, 5 songs per gig, 6 nights a week.
4. He’s a king in the industry.
   Doug was inducted into the Elvis Tribute Artist Hall of Fame in 2013. He’s a true icon among industry veterans, fans, and even people who knew Elvis personally.
5. You can catch him live in concert.
   Doug has been putting together a new act – one where he plays himself. According to Doug, he can only see himself wearing the jumpsuit another 5-10 years, but after that, he’ll focus on other music. If you see him live, you can catch him singing non-Elvis covers and even his own tunes.
