Tia: This is how we play
01/12/20225 minutes
While her roots may run as far as Bountiful, Utah, Tia has found a special connection with being a Hoosier. And she intends on playing like one.
Since moving to Indianapolis in January 2018, Tia has fallen pleasantly in love with her new home. She’s enchanted by the fun museums, the wide variety of restaurants, the canal where she takes walks with her husband, and the wholesome Hoosier culture. She feels incredibly blessed and makes it a point to give back to the community by volunteering regularly at a local children’s hospital.
When it comes to playing the Hoosier Lottery, Tia is a jane-of-all-games. The biggest factor isn’t the what, but who she’s playing with. Scratch-offs are perfect for Tia to spend time with a friend or loved one, while Draw games are for solo play.
Scratch-offs in Stand-by
One place Tia likes to purchase lottery tickets is the airport. It’s a fun way for her to pass the time and possibly make her trip a bit sweeter. One time, when her younger sister was really feeling the stress of trying to fly home on a stand-by flight, Tia bought her a Scratch-off.
As they scratched the ticket, the sisters talked about what they would do, where they would go and who they would help if they won big. It turned out to be a winner, and Tia’s sister went home with an extra $100!
“It’s a reflection of what’s important to you at that moment. I appreciate I can get that glimpse into her life.”
If a big win did come her way, Tia has her mind set on travel. She’d take her dad to New Zealand, her mom to Prince Edwards Island, and her sister on a South African safari. But no matter how far she goes, Tia comes home to a life she loves.
