The school cafeteria worker typically buys her tickets whenever she stops to get gas and then uses the Hoosier Lottery app on her phone to scan them.

When she scanned her Daily 4 ticket and saw that she had won $10,000, “It was 11 at night, but I just started running around my house,” Dawana said.

This was Dawana’s first big win, although she has won smaller amounts such as $500 previously.

She plans to use some of her winnings to pay bills and put the rest in savings.
