Betty Collier lives in the small town of Orleans, about 40 miles south of Bloomington. She is retired after owning a used truck sales lot with her husband for a number of years.

For fun, Betty likes to play Powerball® and buys tickets for every Saturday drawing. When she was on her way home one day, she stopped at the local Marathon and purchased tickets. A couple days after the drawing, Betty saw a news story about a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket that was sold in Orleans. This prompted Betty to pull out her tickets and check them.

When she saw she matched four numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000, “I was dumbfounded,” said Betty. “It just didn’t seem possible.”

Betty shared her good news with a few family members, and they were all very happy for her.

She plans to put her winnings in savings.
