When Jennifer Roberts’ family gets together for the holidays, they typically play a few games of bingo for fun and some laughs. The prizes for winning are always Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs. This year when Jennifer won a game, she got a $5 Black Ice and immediately scratched it.

“I just won $125,000!” Jennifer exclaimed to everyone gathered at her parents’ house. At first, her family members thought Jennifer had to be joking, but once her older sister examined the ticket, they realized she had in fact won the game’s top prize!

A stay-at-home mom, Jennifer stays busy doing advocacy work for osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. She plans to use some of her prize money to further her advocacy and will also mark an item off her bucket list—a trip to Hawaii.
