The Hoosier Lottery has once again received the highest level of distinction for responsible gaming by the World Lottery Association (WLA). The Hoosier Lottery originally received Level 4 Certification in 2015 by the international organization. The renewed certification is valid through 2024.
The WLA serves the interests of 152 state lotteries in 80 countries and six continents. Their principles acknowledge that gaming operators, among others, play an important role in helping to prevent problem gambling, and ensure funds are generated for good causes.
Level 4 Certification is earned by lotteries that integrate responsible gaming into day-to-day operations and demonstrate continuous improvement in responsible gaming programs. The WLA Responsible Gaming Framework consists of four levels of achievement and 10 Program elements (nine apply to the Hoosier Lottery). It outlines how lotteries can demonstrate their level of commitment to the WLA Responsible Gaming Principles.

The Hoosier Lottery received Responsible Gaming Verification at the highest level, Sustaining Level, from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and NASPL. NASPL’s mission is to assemble and disseminate information and benefits of state and provincial lottery organizations through education and communications, and where appropriate, publicly advocate the positions of the Association on matters of general policy.
The Hoosier Lottery was proud to host NASPL’s Professional Development Seminar in Indianapolis in July 2022, where we welcomed gaming professionals from across North America and Canada to our state.

The Hoosier Lottery is a proud supporter of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). The organization’s purpose is to serve as the national advocate to minimize gambling-related harm with a mission to lead state and national stakeholders in the development of comprehensive policy and programs for all those affected by problem gambling.
We participate each year in the NCPG’s Gift Responsibly campaign and their Problem Gambling Awareness Month initiative. In July 2022 we were honored with a Best Corporate Website Award.

An affiliate of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), the Indiana Council on Problem Gambling (ICPG) strives to generate awareness, promote education, and be an advocate for quality treatment of problem gamblers in Indiana.
The ICPG was founded in 1996 by a group of individuals and organizations whose goal was to ensure that help was available for problem gamblers in a time of increasing types of legalized gambling in Indiana.
