RULES AND PROCEDURES GOVERNING THE HOOSIER LOTTERY MULTIPLY THE MONEY SOCIAL MEDIA SWEEPSTAKES

The State Lottery Commission of Indiana (“Lottery” or “Hoosier Lottery”) hereby promulgates these rules and procedures ("Official Rules") governing the Multiply The Money Social Media Sweepstakes ("Promotion"), authorized under 65 IAC 1-7-1.

A. PURPOSE

1. The Promotion will be held to elevate the Hoosier Lottery social brand and encourage entrants to engage with Hoosier Lottery social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) by providing the opportunity to enter the Promotion for a chance to win one (1) of four (4) prize packs. Description of prizes are found below.

B. PROMOTION PERIOD & DRAWING DESCRIPTION

1. The Promotion period will begin on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., ET, and the Promotion entry deadline will be Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., ET (the “Promotion Period”). There will be back-to-back Facebook and Instagram drawings after the Promotion Period held on or about Friday, February 28, 2025.

C. PROMOTION & PRIZE DESCRIPTIONS

1. The Promotion will be conducted in accordance with all applicable statutes, regulations, and rules for the listed Prizes:

D. ELIGIBILITY

1. This Promotion is open to legal residents of Indiana who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.
2. State Lottery Commission of Indiana members, officers, and employees, and any relative(s) (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and/or person(s) residing in the same household of such member, officer, or employee are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. This restriction applies mutatis mutandis to the Lottery’s Integrated Service Provider, IGT Indiana, LLC, (“IGT”).
3. Members, directors, officers, or employees of a major procurement vendor of the Hoosier Lottery and/or IGT, and any relative(s) (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and/or person(s) residing in the same household of such persons are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
4. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

E. HOW TO ENTER  

1. Entrants must have a public Facebook and/or Instagram account to enter this Promotion. If an entrant does not have a Facebook account, there is no cost to create one at www.facebook.com. Entrant must agree to comply with Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (www.facebook.com/terms.php) and Facebook’s Community Standards (www.facebook.com/communitystandards) to create and maintain a Facebook account. If an entrant does not have an Instagram account, there is no cost to create one at www.instagram.com. Entrant must agree to comply with Instagram’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines (www.facebook.com/help/instagram/477434105621119) in order to create and maintain an Instagram account. Please note that any duplicate entries found through entrants using multiple accounts on the same platform to make multiple entries in the Promotion will be ineligible.
2. To enter, entrants must comment on the Hoosier Lottery's Multiply The Money Social Media Promotion post. There will be one post on Facebook and one post on Instagram on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., ET. Entrants may comment on both the Facebook and Instagram posts to enter each drawing by Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., ET or only one post, on the applicable social platform, by Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., ET to enter either the Facebook or Instagram drawing.
3. Entrants can comment multiple times; however, an entrant will only be granted one (1) entry into this promotion, per social platform (Facebook and Instagram), regardless of how many comments are submitted.
4. Duplicate entries will be removed at the time of the drawing.
5. Entrants must continue to maintain an active Facebook account through the Promotion Period and for at least thirty (30) days thereafter (for potential notification purposes) to participate in the Promotion and be eligible to win. Due to the way Instagram operates its service, Lottery may not receive entries from Instagram users with “private” posts. Entrants must continue to follow @HoosierLottery on Instagram during the Promotion Period and for at least thirty (30) days thereafter (for potential notification purposes) to participate in the Promotion and be eligible to win. All posts and/or comments in connection with this sweepstakes must NOT, in the sole discretion of the Lottery, (i) contain language that violates or infringes upon another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, trademark or copyright infringement); (ii) contain language that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, profane, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous, controversial or libelous; (iii) contain language that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and (iv) contain language that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to applicable laws or regulations.
6. Entrants can gain only one (1) entry into each drawing for this Promotion. Entrants may only win one (1) time in each drawing.

F. ODDS OF WINNING

1. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received in the applicable drawing.

G. WINNER SELECTION, CONFIRMATION, NOTIFICATION AND CLAIMING OF PRIZE

1. The four (4) prize winners of this Promotion (two from each platform) will be selected from all eligible entries received by using a random number generator from random.org under the supervision of a member of the Lottery Security team.
2. A total of four (4) alternates will be selected from each platform by using a random number generator from random.org under the supervision of the Lottery Security team after four (4) potential winners for the drawing have been selected. Alternates will be matched to prizes in a descending order as winners are disqualified or decline the prize.
3. The selected prize winners will be notified via the social media platform they won on (Facebook or Instagram) and will be asked to provide a name, email address and phone number.
4. Prize winners will then be contacted via an encrypted email and asked to provide a valid ID to confirm they meet the eligibility requirements as stated in Section D (“Eligibility”) and to confirm their Indiana mailing address.
5. Upon notification, prize winners must claim prize within five (5) business days. After five (5) business days, if the winner fails to complete and return all requested information and provide proper identification, the winner will automatically forfeit the prize, and an alternate will be contacted. The alternate will have five (5) business days to claim the prize, and so on. If all alternates are exhausted, the prize(s) shall be forfeited.
6. Upon timely presentation of winner information, the entry will be validated, and eligibility will be verified as described in Section D of these Official Rules. Player’s entry name must match the name on their government ID to claim a prize.
7. Once verification and authorization of the winner are complete, the prize will be provided to the winner.
8. A Promotion winner may be required to participate in publicity and marketing efforts. Examples include an interview with Lottery individuals, television, radio and/or newspaper reporters and/or photographers/videographers. This information may be used in future media, the Lottery’s website, in store Point of Purchase materials or other marketing efforts without consent or notice.

H. GENERAL RULES AND PROVISIONS

1. The rules and procedures set forth in these Official Rules shall govern this Promotion. These rules may be amended at any time by the Lottery without advance notice.
2. The Lottery’s Executive Director or her designee may, at any time, announce a suspension or termination of the Promotion, without advance notice and in the Executive Director's sole discretion, at which point no Prize shall be awarded. None of the Lottery, the Executive Director, IGT, or any employee thereof, shall have any liability for such termination.
3. By participating in the Promotion each person agrees to comply with and abide by Indiana law, rules, and regulations as well as the terms and conditions of the Lottery website and all final decisions, policies, or procedures of the Lottery in relation to the conduct of this Promotion. Any dispute arising which relates to any aspect of this Promotion shall be governed by the laws of Indiana.
4. In the event of a dispute arising out of these Official Rules, the entrant’s remedy is limited to entry in another promotion with prizes of a similar value.
5. The Hoosier Lottery, IGT and their agents are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to or alterations of the Promotion, failure to receive claim, winner, or other Promotion information for any reason whatsoever.
6. The Hoosier Lottery and its agents are not responsible for issues with account accessibility or Promotion entries due to technical problems associated to software, hardware compatibility or internet access.
7. By entering this Promotion, each entrant agrees to follow these Official Rules and forever releases, discharges, and waives any and all claims, liabilities and actions of any kind, howsoever caused or arising and whether by negligence, any intentional act or otherwise, that entrant may have or that may arise against the Lottery, IGT, Facebook, Instagram, , and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and related entities, as well as each of the aforementioned parties’ respective associates, directors, officers, owners, shareholders, partners, members, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”), with respect to or arising directly or indirectly, out of, or in any way connected with, (i) entrant’s participation in this Promotion; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes (including but not limited to the substitution or changing of any prizes) awarded in this Promotion. By entering, each entrant further agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties and their insurers against any and all damages, costs, judgments, and/or expenses (including but not limited to attorneys’ fees and/or other legal fees) they may incur as a result of claims made against them in connection with either (i) entrant’s participation in this Promotion; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes (including but not limited to the substitution or changing of any prizes) awarded in this Promotion. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to Lottery and/or IGT and not to Facebook or Instagram.
8. This Promotion is sponsored and administered by IGT Indiana, LLC on behalf of the State Lottery Commission of Indiana, 1302 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.
